Sandgate Theatre have done it again; they will be the first theatre group in Australia to perform ‘Where There’s A Will’, a mystery whodunnit by English playwright, Alan Tibbles.
Director, Peter Murray, said, “This is a murder mystery with a good serving of humour, set in a 1950s country cottage of Esmerelda Barton in the village of Easterbury. There are so many twists and turns, the play will keep you thinking, but then just when you think you have worked out who it is, you will change your mind.”
This is a story of pure simple greed. It’s a story of one person who will stop at nothing to satisfy a burning desire for money. Who is this person? You’ll never guess. Just bear in mind that where there’s a will, there is always a way.
Mr Murray said, “I needed to assemble a large cast of ten for this play, which was probably my hardest task. However, I have managed to cast some seasoned actors who are well-known to Sandgate Theatre audiences, and we have one or two promising newcomers as well.”
Called together unexpectedly, the Nesbitt family gathers in a peaceful, country home to be given some trinkets after father, William Nesbitt’s, death. Old conflicts and rivalries emerge and secrets are exposed. All is definitely not as it seems and death is in the air.
If you like a good murder mystery, where half of the fun is trying to work out who the murderer is, why not go along and support Sandgate Theatre’s production of ‘Where There’s a Will’ Australian premiere at the Sandgate Town Hall.
