The Salvation Army North Brisbane Church is set to tantalise the community’s tastebuds this month as it brings back its popular Twilight Market in March. This time the focus will be on festive multicultural food.
Organiser Annie Senden said they are excited to showcase the many cultures that make up the church. “The Twilight Market is the perfect way to celebrate the many diverse food styles, while bringing the community together,” she said.
“There will be a range of home-made cuisine on offer, all cooked by members of the church, including Mexican, Italian, Greek, various Asian treats and even some dishes from Zimbabwe,” she said.
Family entertainment, art and craft stalls, a thrift shop, fruit and vegies and other stalls will also be on offer for the event.
Providing a safe and enjoyable event for the local community is important to The Salvation Army, and Annie said this event was shaping up to be their best one yet.
“Not only is it a pleasant way to spend an afternoon with family and friends, and allow local merchants a place to sell their goods in a relaxed and friendly environment, but it also gives us, The Salvation Army, an opportunity to get to know who is in our community and introduce ourselves to them,” she said.
