What’s local, rocks and is guaranteed to lift your spirits? The Bourbon and Brews Fest, that’s what. The Bracken Ridge Tavern is hosting its 3rd annual Bourbon and Brews Fest this month, with plenty of food, fun and entertainment while you enjoy tasting some of the best beverages around.
It will be a family-friendly affair, so while the kids delight in the activities zone, adults can enjoy tasting a variety of local boutique beers, spirits and wine on offer. There will be great food available too, whether it be from one of the many food trucks, or inside the tavern itself—the kitchen is open all day. Enjoy it all to the rhythm of fabulous music played by local bands.
“This year is going to be bigger and better than last year, it’s going to be amazing. It just keeps growing,” said Bracken Ridge Tavern general manager, Ben White.
Security will be on site to ensure everyone can enjoy themselves in a safe and happy environment.
“The starter band is Wilko. Shane Wilkinson is awesome, he comes to the tavern quite a bit and we’ve had him play at some of our other big events. He just rocks the crowds. He sometimes allows people to get up to sing,” Ben said.
The headliner band will be popular local band, No Standing.
“THESE GUYS HAVE A REALLY BIG FOLLOWING. THEY ARE AMAZING. LOTS OF METALLICA, SO THAT’S JUST PERFECT FOR THE THEME OF THE DAY, BECAUSE BOURBON AND BEER GO HAND IN HAND WITH ROCK’N’ROLL.”
Patrons can expect to hear their favourite songs to get up and dance and really get in the mood. There will be more than 20 stalls and a large central marquee with plenty of seating and tables for customers just wanting to soak up the atmosphere.
Beer will be flowing, shots will be poured – a good time is guaranteed!
Bourbon and Brews Fest, Sunday 5 May, from 1pm till late.
