Following a cracking inaugural event last year, the Bourbon & Brews Fest is set to hit the Bracken Ridge Tavern again this month.
With a huge range on offer including a wide variety of local food trucks, bourbon and craft beer brewers on site and fun activities for the young at heart.
Bracken Ridge Tavern general manager Ben White says the event was a hit last year, and he is excited to launch an even more spectacular event in 2018.
“The feedback we have had so far has been fantastic — the bands and activities are all booked, and we are busy finalising the food and drink stalls,” he says.
“Enquiries from local vendors to be a part of this annual event have been overwhelming and will make this year’s Bourbon & Brews Fest bigger and better than the last one.”
Ben says the Fest is the first of its kind in the suburbs of north Brisbane.
“It is such a great way to show off our local brewers and cuisine, and invite the locals to enjoy it all of course,” he says.
“Being a free event at a family-friendly tavern, it enables the whole community to come along and enjoy — we wish to make the event fun for all ages and try to offer something for everyone in the community.”
And the entertainment is set to sizzle, with the musical acts a highlight of the rockin’ event.
“ We have two amazing live music acts performing throughout the event that will fittingly enhance the atmosphere of beer, bourbon and great fun,” Ben says.
“Blood, Sweat & Beers are a classic Australian rock band featuring original members from ACDC, Rose Tattoo, Screaming Jets and The Angels, and they will be supported by local rockers No Standing!
“Fans of Australian rock are in for a big treat, and with the craft beer and bourbon tastings on offer, food trucks, prizes, sideshow alley and dodgem cars, everyone will have a great time.”
