An expo showcasing and celebrating the wide variety of health and wellbeing professionals in our community will be held in Sandgate next month.
Sandgate’s Wellbeing Expo will see the Sandgate Town Hall transformed for a full day of health stalls, workshops and talks on Sunday, March 4.
Engagement Psychology owner Lisa Johnson is coordinating the expo, and as a local psychologist and organisational wellbeing consultant, she shares a passion for connecting the community through health and wellbeing.
“ Sandgate and local surrounding areas have such a diverse and talented range of health-related services, businesses and professionals," Lisa says.
"I wanted to strengthen the linkages between these services and professionals and offer an uplifting, inspiring and educational event to showcase our unique talents."
With more than 20 years in the health industry, Lisa believes this expo is very important for our community.
"Our lives can be so busy, consuming and stressful at times," she says.
"We live in such a beautiful location with such talented and diverse individuals. We need to come together more frequently, connect and share the richness of our supportive and caring community."
Expo stalls will cover a wide range of health areas including nutrition and food, emotional and psychological support services, exercise, dance and yoga as well as spiritual, and much more.
The expo will run from 10am to 4pm and include giveaways, raffle and lucky door prizes. Half of the money raised by the raffle will go towards supporting the invaluable work of SANDBAG, Sandgate’s Community Centre.
There is still time to be involved, so if you would like to have a stall, workshop or volunteer to assist at the expo, email Lisa at firstname.lastname@example.org
