Bracken Ridge Plaza is undergoing a facelift and residents are eagerly awaiting the changes.
Built in 1994, the centre is anchored by a Coles supermarket and features 24 specialty stores. It’s also a medical hub for the community, with a doctors’ surgery, dentist, physio, optometrist, pharmacy and pathology lab offering their services.
Property Manager, JLL’s national marketing manager, Angela Gore, says the changes to the centre will make a huge difference for the local community.
“Bracken Ridge Plaza is undergoing a much-needed makeover, which includes brand new amenities, improved natural lighting and upgrades to the interior and outdoor dining areas,” she says.
“The works also include the reconfiguration of the car park to improve traffic flow and ease parking.”
The centre is already a popular meeting point for residents, with a number of food outlets including a butcher, as well as dine-in and takeaway options.
Due to be completed by the end of the year, the works also include replacing the mall tiling, an upgrade to the centre’s ceiling and an extensive overhaul of the façade, including a new dining structure. The external paving will also be replaced.
“ The refurbishment is an indication of the landlord’s commitment to the centre’s loyal and long-standing customer base,” Ms Gore says.
“The works will provide a modern and convenient shopping experience.”
New tenants are also on the cards for the centre, but JLL are keeping those details under wraps for now.
“New tenants will be announced closer to the launch of the refurbishment,” Ms Gore says.
She says customers can expect minimal disruption during the makeover, as most of the construction work will take place at night.
