TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE!! A moonlit long table dinner on the historic Shorncliffe Pier will be back by popular demand next month.
After a sell-out and huge success last year, the 2017 Long Table Dinner will be held on Saturday, November 4.
Hosted by the Sandgate and Districts Chamber of Commerce, the nautical-themed evening is a great chance to showcase the district’s beautiful bayside.
Chamber president Bill Gollan says the popular five-star event will become a regular occasion on the district’s calendar and this year’s dinner again lines up with the full moon, taking full advantage of the water-side views from the Shorncliffe Pier.
“What better way to enjoy yourself than watching the sun set over Moreton Bay and then enjoy dinner while the moon comes up over the bay,’’ Bill says. “It’s the one night of the year that our area showcases quality, style and fun.’’
Like last year’s inaugural event, one long table will run up the centre of the pier, with seating for up to 700 diners, an increase in numbers from last year.
“This is a unique event to Brisbane, and this year we are capping the event at 700, so if you would like a ticket get in fast,’’ he says.
“It’s a night of quality food, beverage and entertainment.’’
The night will begin at 5pm with pre-dinner drinks and canapes at the base of the pier, with a jazz duo entertaining.
Dinner will then be served on the pier from 6pm accompanied by roving entertainment, including stilt walkers.
The evening will also feature a performance by local band Anthems so diners can enjoy a dance after their meal.
Tickets for the 18+ event are $149, which includes a three-course meal, beverages and entertainment.
Tickets are limited so purchase early to avoid disappointment. For tickets visit www.sandgatechamber.com.au
