An Artrageous Celebration of Dance promises to allure crowds with captivating dance performances, live music, street markets and drumming in the garden this October.
“With sword dancers and fire eaters, this show is going to be like nothing we have seen before in the 4017 area. The members of ‘Kauri Bay Collective’ are super-excited to bring together both local artists and stunning performers, like ‘Peresfoni Tide’, and ‘Rayvn Wynters Nyte’, to Artrageous.”
Kellyann (Khaos) Carr is a volunteer and committee member of Artrageous Community Arts and Craft Centre in Deagon. She runs Kid’s Club and Sunday afternoon meditation at the centre, as well as the Kauri Bay Collective dance troupe — who proudly call Artrageous home. The 30-year-old collective meets weekly to develop the physical and creative skills of member dancers further.
“Through our dance connections, some of the best dancers in their field have donated their time and talent for this event.”
“This is going to be a team effect putting a show like this together,” says Kellyann, “but, with the Kauri Bay Collective ladies and the Artrageous team of volunteers, it will come together flawlessly to be a visual delight!”
This is the first event of this kind at the centre. Art Curator, Ann Gadsby says, “Artrageous is looking forward to a visual display of movement and drama in the performing arts area.”
Artrageous is a place for creative expression and a venue for intimate gatherings, monthly art exhibitions and performance. Supporting this fundraiser will assist to continue the success of our district’s treasured not-for-profit gallery and art space.
