Keen for a fun night with friends, plus the luxury of your children entertained and cared for, only a short distance away?

Sandgate Scout Group parents are hosting a trivia night at the Sacred Heart Church Hall, with pizzas, beer and wine, soft drinks and treats in this Adults only event. You can even bring your own food!

Trivia participants can book their children in to enjoy a fully supervised game and movie in their pyjamas at the Sandgate Scout Den, while they enjoy a kid-free evening of trivia.

The evening is part of the many fundraising activities the Scouts will hold over the next fifteen months, raising money to send Sandgate Scout children to the Australian Jamboree 2019, held in Adelaide.

Scout Leader, Travis (Puma) Rosevear says, “Most Scouts only ever have one opportunity to attend an Australian Jamboree, as they are only held every three years. Jamboree is arguably the largest camp a Scout will attend, with attendees exceeding 13,000”!

Jamboree has fun, dawn to dusk activities planned across ten days, made possible by the thousands of volunteers that give up their time to support the event.

“Jamboree provides a safe environment for our young people to branch out, learn new skills, have adventures with their friends and build some resilience when things don’t go to plan.”

“This fantastic opportunity allows a Scout to challenge themselves and make new friends, not only with Australians but sometimes with other Scouts from around the world. But seriously, most of all, it is a heap of fun!”
