The Sandgate & District Chamber of Commerce will this month host the 3rd Annual Christmas in the Park, at the Einbunpin Lagoon Parklands, Brighton Road, Sandgate on 7th December 2013.
The event is again generously sponsored by Councillor Victoria Newton and the Lord Mayor’s Suburban Initiative Fund, with the ‘Rise of the Guardians’ showing on a massive outdoor screen from 7pm. This PG rated action adventure animation follows the story of the immortal Guardians joining forces against an evil spirit to protect the hopes, beliefs, and imaginations of children all over the world.

Community group stalls again play a significant part of the event, providing food and entertainment from 4pm. Your Farm will serve a variety of salads and chai tea, with all proceeds going towards supporting the not-for-
profit group’s support for local food production and organic farming practices.
The Sandgate Men’s Shed BBQ fundraiser is available on the night, as is a hot brew from Coffee On The Go. Those wtith a sweet tooth have dessert catered for thanks to Lions Club cakes, with children anticipating a visit from Santa in his sleigh.
