There'll be no slogging through the mud, or sweltering under a relentless summer sun for those folk lining up to enjoy Music By The Sea's Festival 2014, on January 10, 11, and 12.
Instead, a superb program of world class music will be served up in cool comfort, with a good cuppa or a nice wine if desired, at Sandgate's recently restored historic Town Hall.
In its 12th year, the festival line-up of comedy, jazz, folk, world music and classical performances once again boasts of highly regarded and well loved international and Australian acts.
Virtuoso guitar duo Slava and Leonard Grigoryan - Joseph Tawadros Trio on oud, riq, bendir, and piano - Apollo Ensemble (Holland) and The Sojourners with C.R. Avery (Canada) are a taste of what makes this an event of substance.
Between sessions 'coffee's up' - flavoured with music of the world - during free performances in the intimacy of Gloria Jeans, the Coffee Club, and Cardigan Bar, all in the vicinity of the Sandgate Town Hall.
