TV Commercial Filming Commences on the Pier

Homebase (UK) and Taxi Film (West End Brisbane) are filming a series of TV commercials on the Shorncliffe Pier for Homebase, a British home improvement store and garden centre which as 350 stores across the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The television commercial will be showing various mini worlds appearing on the pier. There will be bedrooms, kitchens, vegetable gardens, landscaped environments and other home-based themes appearing on the pier.

The build and filming should take approximately 10 days and is expected to employ around 100 QLD crew. Much of the building and filming materials will be sourced from local suppliers.

The Homebase products (valued and over $600,000) will be donated to the QLD Flood Disaster Relief. These home wares will go straight to the victims of the flood who have lost everything.

Everyone is encouraged to come down and watch the filming as it occurs.
