Bluewater Festival

The Bluewater Festival is now in its 16th year and still continues to attract thousands of locals and visitors from all over Brisbane who come to watch the spectacle of the yachts and enjoy the atmosphere of their favourite festival by the bay.

The festival focuses on entertaining the community and, as its name suggests, celebrating everything to do with sailing and the start of Australia's second biggest yacht race, the QantasLink Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race off Shorncliffe on Good Friday.

So, come on down to Lower Moora Park, Shorncliffe for Bluewater Festival Friday from 9am on 29th March to see the spectacle of the sails and enjoy a day of live entertainment, great music, carnival rides, markets, food stalls and heaps of activities for all the family.

Bluewater Bayfire Night starts at 4pm on Thursday 28th March at Lower Moora Park with live entertainment, markets, food and the fabulous Fireworks on the Bay at 7:30pm.

Bluewater Festival 2011 was once again a huge event with a massive turnout.
The major festival events were in Lower Moora Park at Shorncliffe and included the popular Bayfire Spectacular of fireworks, live entertainment, markets, food stalls and rides along with the Good Friday Bluewater Festival Day the morning after.

Art Exhibition

Opening Night: 28th March (6pm - 9pm)
Exhibition: 29th - 31th March (9am - 4pm)

Cost: Gold Coin Donation Entry.

This year’s event will again be held at the Waterford Building overlooking the pier at St Patricks College, 60 Park Parade, Shorncliffe. The Opening Night will be on Thursday 28th March 2013 from 6pm till 9pm. The official opening and winners will be announced later that evening. The exhibition will continue on the 29th, 30th and 31st of March from 9am – 4pm.

The 2013 competition will not have a theme. A 1st Place and a Highly Commended will be awarded in each category. We welcome all works of exhibition quality. Two dimensional works must be fitted with hanging cord and be strictly limited to 1.08sqm each. Three Dimensional works must be ready to sit on plinth or simply hung. Works to be submitted in the following categories;
